  • Stock Pavilion, dtwilder (guest) wrote 19 years ago:
Teddy Rooselvelt spoke here as well as many other luminaries. Used to be a lot of concerts in the Stock Pavilion--fantastic acoustics. I think there should be a "Stockstock" concert of local bands...

  • Vilas Park, Daniel C. (guest) wrote 19 years ago:
This is a delightful place for an evening stroll, among the lakes, ducks, and open grass areas. In the daytime it comes alive with sunbathers, visitors to the free zoo, and people playing. The atmosphere, day and night, is wonderful. People should know that few cities have parks like Madison does.
  • Woodman's Grocery Store, dude (guest) wrote 19 years ago:
It's the biggest grocery store in Madison by far. It also has the best prices. From what I can tell the selection and prices are even better than Walmart. And it's open 24 hours a day. Anther plus is the huge selection of adult beverages The downside is that it can get extremely busy on weekends during the day time.
